VIDEO

As a photographer, I fancy myself strongest in camera work.  I’ve operated 40’ boom rigs, steady cam, dolly track cams and have done just about every studio broadcast position from grip to live Director/Producer and Video Engineer.  Editing has never been my strongest suit but I have been editing short videos and music videos with FinalCut for the last few years, slowly learning the tool.

The first full video I shot and edited was the Dream Sequence music video for my project, Chateau d’If. Using footage I had taken with my iPhone and an 8mm app along with some extra drone footage shot by my buddy Willie, it was the first time I was able to represent the full vision I had playing in my head while writing the song.

The reverse of this has been my recent foray into Film Scoring having contributed songs for the 2012 Documentary Volviendo and the preliminary pitch videos for the feature film, Follow Her.

Recently I’ve made a couple of low budget music videos for projects I’m also musically connected to including Jiovanni’s Stephen King and the Lockdown short from BearKitten, Happy Birthday.

Live Production and Design

I have been on the technical side of Production since I was first involved in helping paint sets at our community theatre, Theatre Works. I started as a follow spot op when I was 13 at the mega-church we attended and steadily worked my way through every facet of studio and live production. What really stuck with me was lighting design.  I was able to program my boards so that I could play them like an instrument, my visual expression of sound. Since moving to NYC over a decade ago, Lighting design and Event A/V technical direction and Project Management had become my bread and butter though, before Lockdown I had made the transition from full-time traveling Project Manager to freelance so I could balance all of my creative endeavors.
